Senior Accounts Payable Accountant

Company:
Our client work was established in 1974. They work in all phases of Oil & Gas; including drilling and production operations, transport, etc.

They are looking to recruit a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to be based in Qatar

Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers.
Maintains accurate A/P records and control reports.
Process and review accounts payable transactions for proper coding and approvals.
Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to accounts payable.
Interface with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve accounts payable matters.
Assist with month and year-end closings.
Work with company employees to review monthly accruals
Prepare accounts payable and accrued expense reconciliation on a monthly basis
Assist with Annual audit support.
Other projects as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
Degree qualified
Minimum of 6-8 years of experience
Experience in oil & gas industry
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to use good judgment and discretion.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Understanding of legal ethics.
Ability to perform word processing on a PC with accuracy and efficiency.
