Job description / Role
The role is to manage the safety certification process in depth for support to railways and metros. The Deputy Team Leader must regulate the safety on the Kingdoms railways through the use of Competent Persons, oversight of service provider safety systems, and ensuring a suitable training programme is in place for train operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Management of Independent Competent Persons
- Develop and implement safety regulation of the railway sector
- Supervise safety performance of railway services providers
- Approve railway services provider safety management systems
- Set railway safety performance targets
- Manage safety certificate process
- Lead independent auditor of railway system for safety, security and environmental
- Responsible for duty holders systems and equipment
- Manage training programme for staff engaged in train operation
Requirements
- Degree/HND qualified
- Minimum 15 years experience in a similar role
- Prior experience in safety practices and certifications
- Good communication skills; written and spoken
- Experience in railway operations, systems and safety management, freight and passenger services, railway licensing
