Senior Agronomist - Vegetable - Kenya

We currently represent a leading vegetable production company with operations in Kenya in their search to find an outstanding Senior Agronomist to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly modernized company in Kenya that produces many exotic vegetables for export. As the new Senior Agronomist, you will be a vital force in the company, fundamental to the success and size of the yield of vegetables.

As the new Senior Agronomist, you would you be responsible for:
- Provide a training and support network for local farmers ensuring that they fully understand the best practises that can be utilised in order to increase crop yield and quality.
- Work closely with Farm Managers ensuring that all plantation resources are being utilised correctly.
- Oversee the spraying of fertilizers and crop protection products throughout the plantation.

The ideal candidate would have a background consisting of:
- At least 5 years experience in agronomy or a similar field,
- Experience growing vegetables, and ideally exotic vegetables such as French beans, chillies, baby vegetables etc.,
- Educated up to a degree level, and ideally Masters level,
- The ability to work and communicate effectively in a multinational environment.
