Responsible for data and application integration solution build activity. Role requires business solutions architecture planning, development and delivery of integration solutions, to introduce business value to stakeholders in line with strategic directions and within prescribed IT guidelines

Role works in close collaboration with IT technical teams and key business stakeholders from investment departments, Portfolio Managers and Analysts, in addition to participants from Internal Audit, Operations, Accounts and Investment Services teams. Demonstrates solid investment business skills, good management capabilities and prudent decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Subject Matter Expertise
- Can liaise with business units with a full and thorough knowledge of asset classes and investment styles including internally traded equities, central dealing, externally managed funds, equities derivatives etc.
- Conversant with Order Management, Trading Management, Corporate Actions, Master Data Management, Performance, Risk, Investment services, Compliance, Accounting, Reconciliations, satellite systems to support core investment systems and information flows.
- Knowledge of other financial instruments and their derivatives that are used in the equities, fixed income, commodity and currency markets, is preferred.

Solution Delivery responsibilities
- Work with Business Users and IT teams to analyze the business objectives and integration requirements.. Develop high quality technical deliverables for a robust integration design for executive / board approvals.
- Responsible for build out of data integration, middleware interfaces and integration with external gateways for Clients' business applications and counterparties.
- Fully conversant with data mapping, parsing, information flows , database plug-ins, FTP using development tools such as Java, XML, PL/SQL, stored procedures and designer palettes.
- Ensure the integration design and solution are aligned to the Clients' Enterprise Architecture / Strategy.
- Ensure implementation of the solution roadmap with a clear and calibrated increase in business value milestones. Ensure that post-implementation support of business solutions, is user-centric and not IT centric.
- Understand business message and information flows across interfaces and business application systems that service the holistic business function.
- Is passionate about quality. Can independently deliver quality documents and technical solutions.
- Prepare test cases based on the business requirements and conduct initial business functionality tests before coordinating the User Acceptance Test activities with stakeholders.
- Develop the business knowledge of the different IT teams that face the business, so that they can support the business applications better.
- Is required to participate in multiple work assignments, application change requests or projects. (i.e. context switching)
- Has some experience on project management. Can manage small projects independently, if required.
- Can undertake Prototype build outs, simple dashboards and workflow or configuration customizations or similar activities that introduce agility in business usage of applications.
- Has a very good understanding of existing vendor solution roadmaps, to derive maximum value from existing investments in technology solutions.

- Perform business relationship roles, demonstrating good diplomacy, cultural sensitivities, excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Makes recommendations clearly linked to the departments strategy reflecting an awareness of external dynamics.
- Uses professional knowledge, experience and technical expertise to respond to questions and facilitate problem solving; generally advises, influences and provides technology solution guidance to business users.
- Develop internal and external relationships relevant to role; is building relationship management skills and developing relationships across different departments. Liaise with external parties
- Identifies, documents, and monitors key business processes that need to be architected or improved, to achieve successful business results.
- Defines and manages user expectations. Matches business requirements to new or existing systems and services.

Requirements

- Competency in integration technologies such as Informatica (ETL and Data Masking) , Tibco and Swift. Knowledge of gateways such as Omgeo CTM, Markit is also preferred.
- Good all round knowledge of commonly used applications for market data, performance, risk and subscriptions (Thomson Reuters , , Bloomberg, Cambridge, Argus etc) and how they integrate with core financial applications.
- Knowledge of in interface design, message parsing & validation, SSH/SSL/ FTP protocols, XML / XSD , JDBC/JAVA/JMS and SOAP Service oriented Architecture protocol.
- Preferred experience using Tibco designer tool, Business works, EMS interface and Tibco administrator.
- Experience on MQ series and Tibco EMS interface design desireable
- Proven track record in an application integration focused team (5+years)
- Good understanding of the financial industry including capital markets, investment management and advisory areas
- University degree, preferably in business, CFA or related field
