Senior Architect / Architectural Engineer

Job description / Role

Job Summary:
Responsible for directing and managing all architectural (civil work) activities through site engineers, and executing work within allocated time and budget in accordance with specification and execution drawings.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor subordinates and provide them operational direction regarding various aspects of civil work to ensure professional and timely delivery of services & activities thereby achieving departments objectives and business plans.
Monitors and ensures that all operations within the civil work projects are in accordance with the company policies and procedures; any discrepancies are reported to the Project Manager / Construction Manager.
Reviews and recommends methodologies, construction plans, resources and schedules for new bids & projects to the Project Manager / Construction Manager.
Oversees and analyses the preparation of manpower and budgets within the civil work projects and recommends them to the Project Manager and Operation Manager for approval.
Reviews the mobilization and demobilization of manpower and other resources within awarded projects.
Reviews and approves materials and sub-contracting requests in coordination with the Project Manager and Construction Manager.
Coordinates with subcontractors for contract value variations, work order certification, interim valuations and timely fund collection.

Liaises and coordinates with Project Manager and other departments to ensure smooth running and timely completion of civil work of the projects.
Attends meetings with clients and sub-contractors to discuss the progress of project and recommends change orders if any, on awarded or new projects to the the Project Engineers.
Assisting the Project Engineers in developing the setting up of performance targets for the civil works team and ensures that objectives reflect the organizational business strategies and directions.

Requirements

Education:
Bachelor Degree in Architectural Engineering

Experience:
7 years experience in construction industry, out of which 3 years should be in project management.
