Job description / Role
Senior Associates will be expected to:
Apply their knowledge to resolve routine issues and propose solutions to more complex ones
Lead a small team on delivery of specific projects and assignments
Delegate effectively to others, oversee outputs and ensure that quality is maintained
Coach and support other team members in developing their understanding of the straightforward aspects of their discipline and delivering output
Expand their internal and external network
Be responsible to train and coach Associates
Technically, be able to draft financials, control completion documents and identify high risk areas of audit as defined at planning stage
Understand and utilize Grant Thorntons Audit Methodology
Requirements
Knowledge and ability to use proficiently standard office softwares, including word-processing, databases and spreadsheets
Well-developed organization and time management skills, and the ability to work on own initiative, accurately to tight deadlines, and to prioritize between conflicting demands
Ability to coach and develop junior members of the team
Strong communication and project management skills
Two to five years of current and/or recent financial statement audit experience within a public accounting firm
BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
Licensed CPA/ICAEW/ACCA or equivalent
Exposure to providing audit services to clients across a variety of industries
Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Auditing Standards (IAS)
Willingness and ability to travel
