Job description / Role
Leading UAE-based Bank has created an opportunity within their Group Internal Audit division for an enthusiastic and career-focused candidate to focus on their Finance & Enablement functions
This position is open to UAE Nationals
Working directly with the Senior Vice President and Vice President of the F&E teams, you will participate in audit teams performing risk-based audits of the Departments/Units/Branches within Finance/Enablement by following defined work programs ensuring that governance, risk management and controls are in place to mitigate the inherent risks of the business
Key Responsibilities:
Each assigned audit is planned to ensure that the scope and terms of reference of each audit provides adequate and appropriate coverage. Assist AVP in planning assignments
Audits are performed in accordance with approved audit programs
All audit work and programs comply with the policies and procedures laid down in the GIA Manual
Evidence is obtained, analyzed and appraised as a basis for an informed, objective opinion to evaluate the effectiveness of the key controls and efficiency of performance of the Unit being audited
Review appropriate transactions, documents, records, reports to confirm their accuracy and effectiveness and record all findings in a manner that provides relevant and reliable evidence to support conclusions
Sufficient audit evidence is gathered and correctly documented to support the audit finding
Requirements
Preferably educated to minimum degree level
Minimum 2 years relevant experience with an International Bank, Big 4 or Internal Audit preferred (but not mandatory). Exceptions may be made for high potential candidates
Working knowledge of Finance and Accounting in a Bank
Good analytical skills
Team worker with an attention to detail and results orientated
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
