The RoleThe RoleA fast growing Dubai based government entity is looking for a Senior Auditor to help organise and conduct internal audits in the various internal sections under the projects umbrella to ensure compliance with best industry practices, laws, regulation, policies and procedures. Investigate suspected cases of fraud, misconduct or loss of company property to and that internal controls are in place to protect the company’s assets. Key Accountabilities: - Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon. - Prepare and submit for approval the annual audit plan designed to confirm that all sections under this specific department are operating effectively and efficiently. - Recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of the department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers. - Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement. - Assess internal audit controls and select or design appropriate tools and techniques to constantly strive to mitigate risk and improve organisational performance. - Prepare departmental MIS statements and reports timely and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards. - Coordinate with various auditors in other departments in preparing monthly and annual reports which provide feedback on observations and findings and highlight areas of risk. - Conduct random audit to investigate compliance and ensure no cases of misconduct is experienced. - Utilise the risk assessment model to identify auditable areas and thus plan audit assignments to determine the priorities of the audit plan. Update this plane on a quarterly basis. - Update and maintain the internal audit manual in order to establish standards and methodology guide the effective conduct of internal audit assignment. - Liaises with external auditors concerning matters of professional audit standards and resolves any outstanding audit queries. - Facilitate any external audit intervention and assist during the external audit process. |
RequirementsRequirementsQualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Experience: - 5 to 7 years of relevant experience with 3 years minimum in a senior auditing position.
