The Role


The Role


• Reports directly to the SVP of Finance & Administration.
• Defines audit approach and objectives with minimal input from senior management while managing own objectives, priorities and schedules to meet client needs.
• Responsible for conducting broad scope audits where policy, accounting practices and risk exposure are of significant concern.
• Provide expert, ongoing consulting service to business partners on risk issues and provides specific tactics and plans to alleviate risk.
• Conducts field examinations and evaluate effectiveness and use of internal controls and SOX Processes
• Fosters professional relationships with client management and recommends corrective procedures
• Evaluates transfer pricing policy & practice through inter-company streams
• Evaluates compliance with Inter-company & shareholder agreements
• Participates in Shareholder Audit team’s efforts as time permits to develop alignment with audit approaches.

Requirements


Requirements


• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Auditing and 15+ years applicable experience in Accounting in the Petrochemical or related industry sector. Either a CIA or CISA certification is required. Advanced degrees a plus (MBA, CPA, CMA)
• Broad range of work experience in multiple Finance/Accounting disciplines including General Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Insurance.
• Minimum 8+ years supervisory experience with the ability to mentor and train staff.
• Fluent in applying tools, techniques and business knowledge to a broad variety of audits.
• Possesses a mature perspective of management principles to recognize and evaluate the materiality and significance of deviations from good business practices.
• Demonstrates exceptional breadth and understanding of business objectives in support of financial stewardship.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills effective at all levels (support staff up to senior executive and shareholder).
• Ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to manage confidential information and activities.
