Senior Banking & Finance Lawyer

Job description / Role

Currently working with a leading law firm in Kuwait which is regularly commended for providing a high standard of legal services in the region. It has a leading banking and finance practice which is expanding and as such requiring a Senior Banking & Finance lawyer.

The firms banking and finance division advises both lenders and borrowers in relation to both conventional and Islamic based financial transactions and structures. They commonly advise on complex syndicated loans as finance transactions such as project finance, structured finance and asset finance.

Due to economic growth in Kuwait, they have had an increase in their workload over the past 6 months and currently require a senior level banking and finance lawyer who is experienced in the aforementioned transactions.

Requirements

We are looking for the following requirements in a candidate:

- Over 5 years of experience
- Bilingual in English and Arabic
- Strong banking and finance background, ideally gained at a leading private practice however in house candidates will be considered providing they have transactional experience

We are looking for candidate who is currently based in the GCC, with preference given to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia based professionals.
