Senior Bid Manager - Dubai

The Bid Manager role is to utilise the bid team and prepare winning bids, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process. Responsibilities include introduction and implementation of all necessary bid procedures and processes. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It will require strong people management skills in a dynamic sales environment.

- To own Salesforce management, production of bid calendar and manage the bid process from start to finish.
- To support the Capture Manager or Sales person to drive through the technical and commercial response and ultimately improve success rates.
- To continuously improve the bid process bringing in best practice and educating all stakeholders involved in the tender and response process.
- To manage the bidding interface between departments including engineering, procurement, delivery, legal, finance and those with sign-off responsibility.
- To own the bid dashboard, providing simple, clear performance metrics.
- To enhance the CRM (SalesForce); getting the most out of its functionality and provide education across the Division to improve usage and understanding of pipeline management.
- To understand the scope of the proposal requirements, conduct proposal kick-off meetings, engage the appropriate support teams and ensure timely completion of the response and appropriate approvals.
- To track opportunities by capture manager.
- To manage and provide bid coaching to colleagues.
- To own, and constantly seek to improve the companies bid library and ensure education and dissemination of the bid library.
- To work closely with the technical leads to translate technical specifications into winning bid material.
- To ensure adherence to the company bid process in line with best practice.
- To ensure that proposals are produced in a timely manner for submission.
- To organise and attend formal bid reviews, including bid/no bid decisions, commercial reviews, and lessons learnt.
- To ensure that bid qualification is thorough and complete.
- To ensure proposals are compliant and respond to the specific client needs.
- To oversee the bid production team to ensure brand consistency in bid appearance.
- To review and amend proposals from a best practice perspective.
- To apply project management techniques to the bid development and management process.
- To participate and lead in client meetings where appropriate.

Requirements

- At least 5+ years experience in Bid Management.
- Strong business development, management, planning and leadership skills
- Customer service oriented with excellent business and communication skills
- Excellent project management skills including the ability to marshal resources, communicate and manage timelines and responsibilities
- 5+ years of proposal writing experience, business or technical writing/editing experience within the industry
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong Communication skills & ability to work in a team
- Familiarity with project financial statements and commercial terms and conditions
- Strong English writing skills with attention to spelling and grammar.
