An exciting and dynamic opportunity with a top forward thinking, revolutionary financial institution looking for a Senior Business Analyst equipped with strong Private Equity background.

This is an exceptional opportunity to engage with C-Suite and key stakeholders / executive members of the organization.

Responsible for business requirements planning, business solutions architecture, scheduling, delivery and implementation of business value to stakeholders in line with the Private Equity departments business objectives and within prescribed IT guidelines.

Role works in close collaboration with the Head of Illiquids and key stakeholders who are the Portfolio Managers and Analysts of the Private Equity Department, in addition to participants from Internal Audit, Operations, Accounts and Investment Services teams.

Demonstrates solid business skills in the areas of Private Equity, good analysis capabilities and prudent decision making.

- Can liaise with business units with a full and thorough knowledge of Private Equity asset classes, such as: Private Equity venture capital, buy-outs, mezzanine, fund of funds.
- Conversant with Deal Management, Margin calculations, Master Data Management, Performance, Risk, Investment services, Compliance, Accounting, Reconciliations, satellite systems to support illiquid assets and associated information flows.
- Develop a business case for stakeholder approvals. Is responsible to ensure that the final solution outcome, fully delivers on the requirements of the business case.
- Identify and prioritize business benefits realization accelerators. Initiate conversion of a business design into tangible work products, for delivery by IT teams.
- Understand business message and information flows across interfaces and business application systems that service the holistic business function.
- Develop the business knowledge of the different IT teams that face the business, so that they can support the business applications better.
- Understands the nuances and complexities of business processes, management information dashboards and workflows in support of the business processes.
- Thereby, acts as a liaison to business, to ensure that they derive full value of the solution that was set out to be implemented.
- Perform business relationship roles, by demonstrating a good subject matter expertise. In this role, it is a given that good diplomacy, cultural sensitivities, excellent collaboration and communication skills are also demonstrated.
- Solicits information on enterprise direction, goals, industry initiatives and challenges for the business to derive value from technology solutions provided.
- Enjoys full confidence of business stakeholders, as a peer group partner, who sees the same business vision and outcomes.
- Defines and manages user expectations. Matches business requirements to new or existing systems and services. Has a very good understanding of existing vendor solution roadmaps, to derive maximum value from existing investments in technology solutions.
- Encourages and facilitates cooperation and active collaboration across business stakeholders.
- Sets and accomplishes challenging, yet achievable goals.
- Defines standards in terms of doing what is appropriate and doing it well.

Requirements

- University degree, preferably in business or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in applying technology solutions to a relevant investment business.
- Experience in working closely with a Private Equity business is strongly preferred.
- Experience in delivering Private Equity solutions by leverage an MIS or Data Platform is highly desirable.
- CFA Level 3, Masters or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Has knowledge of information exchange protocols ILPAR, SWIFT etc.
- Has participated in high-impact transformation engagements / systems implementations including requirements gathering, business solution design, business process improvement, and solution delivery.
- Has demonstrated capability to undertake minimum product configurations for Proof of Concepts or introducing agility in solutions for business users, where possible.
