Senior Business Development Manager - Middle East

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable Unmanned Aircraft Systems and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager. This position, located in the United Arab Emirates, will report to the Middle East Region Director, Strategic Development, and is responsible for the planning, managing, and pursuit of all business development objectives for General Atomics and Affiliates (including GA-Aeronautical Systems, Inc. and GA Energy & Advanced Concepts Group) within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

This position will participate with technical staff, senior program managers and division executive management in the development of, and has primary responsibility for, the implementation of annual and long-term business development plan. This position will champion the development of new or expansion of existing business opportunities; and, provide leadership in attracting, developing and retaining human resources to that end. The Senior Business Development Manager will oversee all phases of business development activities to ensure business and financial objectives are attained, identify markets, and licensing opportunities, and determine the feasibility of services provision.

Requirements

In addition to possessing a successful business development record in the Middle East marketing aerospace defense products to GCC countries, it is desired that the successful candidate have a minimum of 5 years direct experience with U.S. defense article export, including FMS and Offset. Applicant should have understanding and experience with manned and unmanned ISR systems and operations. Experience with energy technologies including nuclear and the ability to be a quick study on a broad range of advanced technologies would be a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to the ability to effectively present complex briefings and information to U.S. and international government officials are desired. An in-depth understanding of GCC customs, laws, culture, and business practices and proficiency in standard Arabic are desired.
