Senior Buyer - GUESS - DFC

GUESS is a globally recognised high fashion brand offering the latest trends in accessories, womens, mens and childrens fashions.

To ensure the whole buying process from budgeting until pricing and allocation is done according to set standards, using available data and market analysis in order to maximise sales/profit and minimise COR.

Key Tasks

* Formulate seasonal Budgets by product group by store based on suitability of ranges, fashion trends and historical sales.
* Closely monitor sales performance to ensure target sell thru's are met to minimise Cost of Reduction, whilst ensuring seasonal lines are cleared in the SALE
* Support the WSSI process ensuring that all required information is accurately updated each week
* Manage OTB for each department to ensure that the right products are bought in the right quantities to achieve sales whilst maintaining target stock cover
* Margin targets must be met in line with the company pricing policy with regular review against the competition and pricing analysis
* Co-ordinate with the principal and logistics team to ensure timely launches with full availability

Communication

* Work closely with the Buying and Merchandising Manager to ensure all key tasks are performed to the highest standard
* Ensure buying team is kept up to date on all essential information to ensure efficiency 
* Liaise with the Buying and Merchandising Manager, Logistics, VM, Marketing, Finance and Operations teams
* Work very closely with the Principal to ensure a beneficial working relationship

Team Leadership

* Manage, develops and motivates his/her team through coaching and training to ensure they perform their respective tasks with utmost efficiency and accuracy in order to achieve the department's objectives.

Project Management

* Manages various projects as and when required, doing feasibility studies, planning and implementing, ensuring that deadlines and requirements are met and standards are maintained in order to support achieving the overall company objectives. These projects will be part of the JH yearly objectives and may include new stores/region store opening, pricing process and budget process for all product areas, logistic planning and the sale process.

Requirements

* Minimum 5 years merchandising experience
* Experience within an International role
* Knowledge of the local market -preferable
* Strong analytical skills
* High attention to detail
* Proficient excel skills
* Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to work with all levels within an organisation
