Job description / Role
Direct Area Engineers and Contractors to carry out necessary activities to ensure maintenance and repair of Drainage Operation & Maintenance (DO&M) Foul and Surface and Groundwater (F&SGW) Networks
Lead team members to deliver objectives and ensure they work safely and comply with company policies, procedures and regulations
Collaborate with other sections/units and undertake all activities necessary to achieve DO&M KPIs
Provide expert advice, diagnostics, root cause analysis and guidance in relation to complex enquiries, breakdowns, blockages, major stoppages and flooding events
Review annual preventative maintenance schedules for F&SGW networks across Qatar and submit for approval to Section Head
Provide all necessary civil engineering expertise to ensure safe, secure, properly maintained processed water lagoons and guarantee compliance with all DO&M and Environmental policies and procedures
Review all Service Request (SR) forms for corrective maintenance, review weekly, monthly schedules and update appropriately, allocating work as required
Ensure delivery of F&SGW unit annual budget by undertaking all necessary activities to advance projects to contract award and manage awarded projects to programme
Provide technical requirements at project commencement meetings for new F&SGW Networks related projects
Provide technical input and review at all stages of the tender process (including work order specifications and work scope for outsourced maintenance contracts)
Ensure Unit compliance with all processes and procedures relating to Enterprise Drainage Asset Management System (EDAMS), Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) and other DO&M systems and processes and identify and discontinue redundant/duplicate activities
Ensure site inspections for final acceptance testing of completed F&SGW projects
Review and provide feedback on F&SGW O&M work procedures
Coordinate with appropriate engineer/staff to attend to emergency call outs
Hold regular team meetings to engage staff with changes taking place and ensure relevant business performance information is shared
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Procedures and all company policies, procedures and regulations
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering, with at least 13 years of experience in Relevant role.
F&SGW Networks including experience with 5 years managing contractors and leading a team.
Arabic language is preferred.
