We are urgently recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our clients’ organization in Oman.
Our Client is an Oman Government owned company, who has refineries located in Sohar and Muscat. They are currently one of the most sought after organizations in the region, as they are one of Oman's largest companies, who are rapidly growing their businesses in the Middle East's Oil & Gas Industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Perform Civil Engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building Oil and Gas/petrochemical structures, and facilities.
• Will provide expertise for early oil projects all the way through all of the engineering phases, including commissioning and start up, conceptual design, construction, detailed design and front-end engineering.
• The Civil Engineer has the responsibility of adopting, creating and identifying the proper civil engineering standards, with suitable consideration for national standards and customs. The Civil Engineer must also assess and identify the systems and technology in order to allow for enhancements as well as facilitate the design and operability of any extensive field development projects.
• It is the responsibility of the Civil Engineer to provide technical input into probability studies as well as provide practical specifications and basics of design for processing facilities and onshore production. A Civil Engineer supervises contractors as they work to execute design, manage procurement and all other construction activities.
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architecture
• Professional qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architecture.
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience within major/large Oil and Gas projects
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Steam Cracker experience will be an advantage
• Must have experience with FEED and EPC phases of the project
