Job description / Role
My client is a leading international expert in the Water Treatment field. They design, build and commission facilities for drinking water production and reverse osmosis desalination, wastewater treatment and sludge treatment.
They are currently looking to hire a Senior Proposals professional to join their regional Head Office in Dubai and lead the Civil aspect of local market proposals.
Reporting to the MENA Bids Director, key responsibilities of the Senior Civil Proposals Specialist include:
- Ensuring that all tasks related to civil works are assigned and the team is aligned
- Drawing up the planning and the budget for the proposal, subsequently following up during the course of the proposal development
- Calling all necessary meetings whilst tracking and monitoring all decisions related to civil works
- Ensuring that the portion of civil works proposal that they have been assigned is compliant with the management system and procedures in force
- Ensuring that the Execution Organisation and the Construction delivery strategies are defined in coordination with the relevant expertise and contributors
- Ensuring that the civil works costing of the project is complete along with the value estimation against the bid evaluation criterias
- Leading discussions with the construction partners and contributing to the set up of contractual agreements
- Contributing to Clients presentation and/or negotiations upon request of Business Developer or Proposals Manager related to civil works
Requirements
- A Masters Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
- At least 5 years of proposal experience in plant design office or engineering department
- A good technical know-how/experience in the Construction Sector
- Fluency in English. Strong Arabic or French is a plus
- Ability to work in under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds
