Senior Claims Consultant

Job description / Role

A leading specialist Claims & Dispute consultancy is looking to add quantum claims staff to its new Kuwait office. There is an opportunity as a Senior Claims Consultant for an individual with substantial claims and Dispute Resolution experience to join this newly established office and manage commissions on behalf of the client.

The nature of the company's work is such that you will spend your time in between Head Office and their clients office / site. You will work on an assignment basis, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects with various clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of consultants or working independently on a commission depending on its size and complexity. You will be offering advice and performing with work on behalf of the client in the following areas:
- Dispute Resolution
- Contract Administration
- Adjudication
- Arbitration
- Expert Witness
- Mediation

Requirements

- The successful candidate will need to be Degree qualified (or similar equivalent)
- The successful candidate will ideally hold a further qualification in Construction Law such as MSc or a similar equivalent. Candidates working towards this qualification may be considered if they have substantial demonstrable experience in claims.
- Membership to a professional body such as the RICS and/or CIArb is desired
- Previous experience of operating in a Claims & Dispute Resolution specific role is essential
- Substantial experience in managing the drafting, writing and submittal of claims
- Experience of managing a team of claims staff is desired
- Detailed knowledge of adjudication and arbitration
- Previous experience in the Middle East is strongly desired for this role, but may not essential for candidates with the above experience / qualifications

Salary & Package Details
- 9,000 - 11,500 pm all in salary (Tax Free)
