Senior Claims Consultant

Job description / Role

A claims specialist is required to join the lead consortium member of US $10Bn contract on the Riyadh Metro project in Saudi Arabia. The project is recognised as one of the largest civil engineering projects in the World currently and this is an exciting opportunity for one individual to work alongside the current Project Claims Manager for this project.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will join the project at the early stages and work closely with the Claims Project Manager as the number 2 in command on this mega project.

The claims team on this project will grow considerably during this projects lifespan. This position is a senior managerial position that will originally assist with the early claims and contractual work on this project as well as assisting with the set up of systems and procedures relating to claims handling. The position will grow in responsibility as the claims team grows around the project.

Salary & Package Details
- Circa 12k - 14k Pounds per month tax free earnings
- Accommodation provided (On a secure compound)
- 11 Day Fortnight
- 8 Days off every 4 months
- 28 Working Days Holiday (on top of the above)

Requirements

- Dual qualified in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management and Law / Arbitration
- Previous experience of working for a large Contractor in a civil engineering environment
- Demonstrable skills in understanding construction schedules, scheduling and / or delay analysis based upon such schedules
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, contract law and contract interpretation
- Very good written and oral presentation skill, socially relating to the preparation of construction claims for time and money
- Demonstrable experience in formal dispute resolution including Arbitration, Mediation, - Adjudication, Litigation and/or DRB's
