The RoleThe RoleDuties and Responsibilities: • Design of coastal protection structures (revetments, breakwaters); • Design of beaches including groynes; • Design of scour protection; • Design of seawater intake/outfall structures; • Inspect and evaluate condition of coastal infrastructure (beaches, revetments, breakwaters); • Prepare, manage and review bathymetric surveys, sediment sampling and water quality testing; • Prepare, manage and review marine geotechnical investigations; • Hydrodynamic modeling (near-shore wave conditions, wave transformation, wave disturbance, sediment transport); • Site inspection of construction works; • Report writing (feasibility, concept, detailed); • Prepare and deliver presentations; • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. |
RequirementsRequirementsExperience and Qualification: • Masters degree in Coastal Engineering • 10-15 years experience • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills • Working knowledge of hydrodynamic software packages |
