Employment: Full Time

The Senior Commercial Manager is responsible for the management of financial functions of the commercial team and overseeing the Commercial Managers in their project delivery. This scope includes but is not limited to preparation and financial analysis of tenders, post-contract measurement and commercial issues claims.

The Senior Commercial Manager provides professional guidance and assistance in commercial matters to other staff members within the project management team, particularly to the Commercial Managers and Senior Contracts Managers.

The individual will be responsible for leading and directing all commercial aspects of executing the Project Portfolio major programme of infrastructure design works whilst establishing procedures for award and administration of Project contracts

Directing the existing commercial team to ensure that they meet the Project objectives by establishing contracts related services on time and within budget, in an ethical manner at all times, in accordance with procedures. Sound knowledge of the commercial and contract administration aspects of major civil & infrastructure projects - including significant experience on large roads and motorway projects.

Requirements

- B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.
- Must be qualified and chartered QS by a recognised international body such as CIOB and RICS.
- Minimum of 25 years in dealing with major highway projects with +15 years in Commercial Management.
- +5 years Middle East experience desirable.
- Candidates should have previous experience in dealing with Middle Eastern municipality regulations and contract conditions and be able to demonstrate delivery of large scale road / highways projects as well as rail networks.
- Strong Transport sector experience (Roads, Highways, and Rail).
- Experience of process mapping and data analysis.
- Experience of managing projects and programmes to tight deadlines and budgetary constraints.
- Experience in the production of business documentation, including business cases, project plans, reports, strategies and training material.
- Experience of working in cross functional virtual teams.
