Job description / Role
Senior Commercial Manager - Dubai to 55K AED per month
We have a Senior Commercial Manager appointment for Dubai to work on major schemes here in the Emirate covering Mixed Use and Hospitality.
The role will be based from Dubai and will lead the commercial delivery and teams for specific client projects.
Pre and Post contract Delivery, Cost Planning, Programming, coordination and delivery of comprehensive commercial services, including cost estimates, cost plans, bills of quantities, tender and contract documents
Provision of commercial, cost and procurement advice to clients and project teams
Administration and management of range of contract's including FIDIC forms, government forms and other bespoke forms
Preparation and presentation of regular cost reports
Commercial assessment of claims for loss and expense, EoT acceleration and prolongation.
Undertaking value engineering and life cycle cost studies
Responsible for dealing with contractual matters and claims
Reviewing of all contract documentation
Advising project director, commercial manager, construction and design teams on appropriate and correct contract provisions and procedures
Supervision of small contracts QS team
Preparation of detailed particulars for main contract claims for time and cost
Management of variation account
Management of contractual correspondence and notifications
Preparation of dispute related material
Liaising with subcontract management teams
Preparation of internal position papers and advice notes
Preparation of briefs for requests for legal advice and assistance to contractors staff in matters of quantity surveying, cost management and procurement
Requirements
Requirements:
You will need 15 years post Qualification experience in Quantity Surveying.
Degree in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management from a UK / or UK affiliated Institution (if overseas).
Ideally you will be MRICS.
You will have strong experience in major projects / commercial delivery with a strong background in PQS Pre and Post Contract Cost management.
Ideally you will have experience of the GCC environment or Asia.
You will be experienced in projects over $100m USD.
