Senior Commercial Manager

Overview

Our client are an internationally recognized Oil & Gas services company who currently have an immediate requirement for a Senior Commercial Manager with experience in Manufacturing.

Purpose

The purpose of the role is to look after the Commercial/Financial/Contractual and legal requirements of the Abu Dhabi based company.

•Management of all contractual arrangements entered into by the entity in order to safeguard the commercial interests of the company and to limit corporate liability and risk whilst meeting the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies
•Overall responsibility to ensure that all contracts entered into by the entity are commercially viable, reduce company's liability and protect the interests of the business in general both in a pre-order and post-order capacity
•Overall responsibility for management and reduction of warranty claims, liquidated damages, general claims and other commercial risks
•Analysis of risk associated with client contracts and provision of advice to senior management team on acceptability or otherwise of risk
•Negotiation of acceptable amended terms and conditions with clients, including payments terms and delivery requirements
•Overall responsibility for negotiation of Bank Guarantees and Letters of Credit with clients and banking representatives
•Provision of direction to sales and tendering personnel in obtaining customer credit insurance cover or other security for customer credit
•In collaboration with the New Business Project management team participate in the development and implementation of our cash, claims, warranty, LD and job cost performance strategies, disciplines and management,
•Advise on and participate in negotiations of partnerships, consortia and other agreements with entity suppliers
•Liaise with statutory bodies in such matters as Inward Process Relief, complex delivery requirements etc.
•Provide expertise in related projects, such as investigation of liability for new markets/product areas
•Participate and actively support company initiatives

Requirements

•Minimum of a Bachelors Degree Quantity Surveying, Finance and/or Accounting
•Exposure to Contract negotiation and understanding of the legal requirements within the Middle East
•Minimum of 10 - 15 years experience in a similar role
•Experience within Oil & Gas/Engineering market
•Must have exposure to a Manufacturing Environment
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
