Job description / Role
We are currently working with a large and well known contractor that has an urgent requirement for a senior level Commercial Manager to join their Kuwait office. The role will entail both handling all commercial aspects of the project, as well as building up the commercial team on an ongoing basis.
Job Roles
• Liaise with the Client regarding all commercial aspects of the project.
• Work closely with the Planning and Project Controls Manager to ensure accuracy in all reports and forecast.
• Management of the all aspects of tenders, analysis and Managing QS departments to ensure monthly billings are accurate wards for specialty consultants and specialty contractors.
• Management of the Cost Consultant in preparation of the preliminary budget.
• Liaising with the Project Director, Senior Project Manager, Planning and Controls Manager, and other managers regarding commercial aspects of the project, such as: Budget, Contracts, Variations, Claims and Re-measurable portion of work.
• Tendering of specialty consultants, specialty contractors and suppliers as required and obtain approvals for the same from Client.
• Monthly commercial reporting, budget updates and projected cash flow.
• Identifying commercial risk factors and mitigating the same with assistance of the Planning and Controls Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Director, Design Consultants and Client.
• Management of the preparation and pre-Certification of all requests for payment
Requirements
• Degree in Civil/ Quantity Surveying and MRICS or Equivalent
• Minimum of 15-20 years commercial experience in projects related to building at least 10 years experience in Gulf Countries Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
