Due to continued success in the country we are now seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our already established team in Qatar.

The Senior Commercial Manager will hold the following responsibilities and duties:
- Developing team work plan and managing team of 15+ multi discipline commercial staff
- Main point of contact between Team and Contractor (Client) and then to the Client/Consultant (ultimate client).
- Liaising with the Client and Project Controls team.
- Overall responsibility for delivery of Faithful+Goulds Change and Claims Team Services to the Client and interaction with Ultimate Client and their consultants
- Responsible for submission of Faithful+Gould deliverables on time and in accordance with Faithful+Gould Quality standards.
- Identify potential changes and claims and maintain notices and information as necessary
- Coordinating and managing the Team through the reporting structure
- Working closely with the Project team to ensure that the Clients contracts administration procedures and reporting relative to the Claims/Changes is feasible, complies with the Clients contractual obligations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of overall project requirements and the ability to advise Client knowledgeably on claims/change issues.
- Monitoring and managing commercial procedures and change management system.
- Escalation of Early warning of claims and other issues that may arise.
- Management of change for the Client to ensure that their rights are protected as well as pursued.
- Regular meetings and reporting to Contractors management.

Requirements

- Western educated, degree holder from a accredited university
- A Chartered Quantity Surveyor with a recognised international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Buildings (CIOB)
- Minimum of 15 years experience of major highway construction projects.
- Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost
- Experienced in the management of claims on major projects including reviewing and identifying potential claims.
- Experience of Dispute Management, Dispute Avoidance and Dispute Resolution.
- Experienced in the management of major subcontracts and of responding to and utilising their claims.
- Be able to provide both summarised and detailed reports, on current activities and ability to present directly to the client
- Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations and claims.
- Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
- Prepare submit and negotiate project final accounts.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- IT Literacy with Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Your first language shall be English
