Job description / Role
Bluefin Talent is working with a leading financial organization based in Abu Dhabi. Our client is looking to hire a Compliance Head who will be responsible for the overall leadership of the compliance team ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, standards and best practice.
You will provide internal advice in relation to sanctions, AML, CDD, jurisdictional risks, fraud, market abuse, bribery and corruption and data security. You will also take ownership of the in-country AML and sanctions policy and offer advice on upstream global AML regulations (US / UK / EU / APAC / EMEA) to the business. You will ensure the financial crime team is appropriately trained and supervised as well as contribute input into policy consultations relevant to the business globally.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a Degree, preferably in law, finance or banking. Industry qualifications are preferred, ideally an authorised compliance officer certificate. You should also have a minimum of 8 years compliance experience in the local banking and finance industry. In addition, you should have extensive experience in compliance and anti-money laundering management along with excellent oral and written communication skills.
