Executive Solutions in partnership with Faithful+Gould / Atkins are looking to recruit a Senior Construction Manager – Infra-Structure, Highways and Bridges for their Multi-Billion projects in Abu Dhabi.

The Senior Construction Manager has the responsibility for the overall management of all of the construction activities directly under the remit of project management team, including but not limited to quality, progress, commercial matters, value, safety matter, engineering and personnel.

The responsibilities of the Senior Construction Manager include but not limited to the following:

• Ensuring communication between all the relevant project parties.
• Provision of support to all construction managers.
• Ensuring the quality and timeliness of the construction managers delivery and that the construction managers are suitably informed to properly carry out their duties.
• Providing consistency in decision making across the project packages.
• Ensuring that Construction Managers are provided with necessary guidance to proceed correctly.
• Dissemination and communication of necessary data from all reports and data issued by various project parties.
• Ensuring and proactively participating with the construction managers to assess future obstacles and coordination issues in advance of the contractors and consultants in order that solutions are available before issues become critical.
• Conducting meetings with the construction managers and other parties as required.
• Ensuring that the construction managers are conducting meetings to adequate level required by the project communication needs.
• Ensuring that risks are identified and addressed especially for potential claims.
• Implementing safety procedures as required.
• Together with quantity surveying manager, the senior construction manager will be responsible for reviewing, analysing and preparing recommended actions for disputes and claims.
• Assisting in claims mitigation, contract interpretation and cost analysis for submitted claims.

Requirements

To be shortlisted for this role you will have a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Engineering with a total of 20 years working experience out of which 5 years working in the UAE or GCC.

Candidates should have previous experience in dealing with UAE municipality regulations and contract conditions and be able to demonstrate delivery of large scale road / highways projects as well as rail networks.
