The RoleThe RoleAl-Futtaim Enterprise IT provides technological support to the Al-Futtaim Group across all geographies. It manages the IT application and infrastructure across various lines of business including Automotive, Retail, Real Estate, Financial Services and others. The core components of EIT are Business Application Management, Infrastructure & Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management, Information Security, IT Procurement and IT Governance.We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Consullant - IBM Web Solutions. Reporting to the Manager - Business Applications, you main responsibilities will be as follows: * Working closely with the business to understand requirements and advise on technical solutions and feasibility * Be the resident expert in IBM WebSphere Portal, Web Content Management (WCM) and Application Server technologies * Work closely with Business and Development teams to architect, design, build and delivery solutions to production * Work on one or more projects involving new Portal / WCM Development * Involved with teams for design and coding best practices, portlet design, service-oriented architecture (SOA), integration and reuse opportunities * Have experience with IBM Technologies for software development, Portal, Web Content Management and particularly WebSphere Portal * Follow change management and incident procedures and policies. |
RequirementsRequirementsYou should be able to provide solution creation, technical consulting, design and coding for projects. You will be responsible for new projects as well as for ongoing development and maintenance of the IBM WebSphere Portal & WCM (Web Content Management) application supporting the production sites, in a Windows environment. To be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications and experience: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience * 3-5 years of experience with IBM WebSphere Portal or WebSphere Content Management (WCM). Extensive Portal/WCM version 6.X/7.X experience required, with preference of 7.X with both development and administrative experience * 2+ years of hands on experience in JSR 168 and JSR 286 Compliant, Portlet design and development, preferably in an IBM portal environment * Expertise in XMLAccess, Syndication, Web Content Integrator (WCI) and other mechanisms for migrating configuration and content between portal systems * 2+ years hands on experience in developing Templates, Workflows and Customizations for IBM WebSphere Content Management System * Strong experience with Java, J2EE web application design, development of servlets, jsps, JSTL and good understanding of MVC framework - minimum 2 years * JSF/Spring/Hibernate with Portal * Strong interpersonal, influencing and communications skills * Proactive, self-directed and be equally comfortable coding in Java as presenting technical concepts and designs to senior leaders in the group * Initiative in solving complex technical problems in areas which may be outside their technical expertise and coming up with original solutions and design approaches to new project requirements |
