WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff's security risk management team is currently recruiting for a senior consultant to join our office in the Middle East.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff's security risk management team provide specialist services and work in partnership with corporate, government and institutional clients across all sectors in the GCC to identify and attend to their unique security needs.

As a senior security consultant, the selected candidate will be responsible for providing a full spectrum of security risk management services to clients across the different phases of a project: planning, design, construction and operation. These services include, but are not limited to:
- Preliminary security and risk studies such as risk assessments, programme evaluations, and benchmark studies.
- Security master planning and strategy development for large-scale development and plot-level facility design.
- Strategic and technical security design of holistic security programs and independent systems / design elements.
- Professional services covering program and construction management / implementation.
- Assisting organizations evaluate, establish and enhance their security management plans for existing, transitional and future operations.

The senior security consultants role will be dynamic and client facing, and therefore will require specific skill sets to be successful. Noteworthy examples include:
- Communication, writing and presentation skills: The consultant will actively engage with the full hierarchy of project stakeholders, ranging from designers and operators to very high-level client and government leadership. As a result, they will need to demonstrate their ability to convey information clearly and accurately in general conversation, reports, and formal presentation.
- Multi-tasking skills: The consultant will be actively engaged in multiple projects requiring their attention simultaneously and, therefore, must demonstrate a proven ability to perform in a fast paced environment.
- Leadership and management skills: The consultant will be responsible for the management of multi-person teams and delivery of complex projects, and must demonstrate a proven ability to fulfill contracts in a similar role to the standard of quality established by WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.
- Risk management skills: The consultant will be responsible for identifying a clients unique risk disposition and the development of proportionate and appropriate solutions. A strong background in analysing risk, as well as familiarity of the range of solutions (strategic, physical, technology and operational) will be required.
- Reading planning and design documents: The consultant will be actively working with planning and design documents and must demonstrate an ability to accurately read and interpret site plans, floor plans, construction documents, specifications, etc.

Requirements

The selected candidate must also have a BSc (Hon) or equivalent in engineering or a security-related discipline, as well as a minimum 5 years post graduate experience in technical design. Affiliation and active membership with recognized international security organizations is also desired.
