Employment: Full Time

This role is responsible for performing in a fast paced high energy team environment, supporting project teams with the execution of managing the administration activities of contracts related to the project's construction, engineering/architectural, professional services, equipment, materials, and related administrative contracts. Under limited supervision, using independent judgment, you will undertake the roles and responsibilities of this position in a manner consistent with company's policies and the Client's procedures and guidelines.

The Senior Contract Administrator will support the Contract Manager is responsible for the administration and management of the commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of contracts awarded for the delivery of the our various program responsibilities. These include the following:
- Participate in kick-off meetings with contractors, professional service organizations, vendors, and suppliers to provide leadership and guidance in matters related to contractual terms and conditions
- Interface with project teams to provide ongoing guidance
- Prepare, review, evaluate, and process RFQs, Contract Amendments and Changes, and Change Directives
- Assist in the development of claims mitigation strategies and provide guidance to the negotiation of price and terms
- Participate in the payment process, verifying contractors requests for progress payments, release of holdback, final payments, back charges and liquidated damages
- Process documentation for contract close-outs
- Attend contract and project progress and engineering review meetings as requested
- Provide feedback to Controls management regarding challenges or problematic contract administrative issues
- Provide support for cost control management activities

Requirements

- Minimum 15years of experience with solid background in contract administration, contract negotiations, in a project management environment that includes direct exposure to, or specialized working knowledge of:
- Contracting principles, processes, methods, practices, contract administration, and accounting and forecasting
- Administration of construction contracts, or engineering and architectural design contracts and other technical and professional services contracts
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and organize a variety of activities and deal with stressful situations involving complex issues with tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and ensuring deadlines are met
- Demonstrated negotiation and writing skills and the ability to develop strategies, plan schedules and participate in complex negotiations regarding commercial, legal and technical aspects of contract administration involving senior staff from the company and contractors and service providers
- Ability to communicate effectively with various personnel, including dealing with people effectively and tactfully in difficult and stressful situations, to discuss, clarify and resolve contractual matters, scheduling problems, financial and legal issues
