Senior Contracts Manager

Job description / Role

An international consultancy is currently conducting a search for a Senior Contracts Manager who has vast experience working on Infrastructure Projects. The position is based in Qatar and will be managing large multi-million dollar contracts.

Responsibilities
- Manage strategic planning activities for infrastructure projects
- Conduct risk assessments, bid analysis, contribute to business plan development
- Manage and give technical guidance to the team and make sure all contracts administration is complete within schedule
- Control and assign all assignments to the project team
- Be involved in the recruitment of an experienced team
- Coordinate daily with the client and PMC who are on site
- Take part in all contract negotiations with the PMC, Contractor and Client
- Review all proposed contracts and terms that are not in line with company policy
- Be lead negotiator on complex and sensitive issues
- Have an awareness of relevant contract issues in the region
- Perform all post and pre contract management tasks

Requirements

- You must have a degree in Quantity Surveying/Civil Engineering
- Preferably MRICS/MCIOB/other further educational qualification.
- Must have a minimum of 20 years experience
- At least 10 years in a similar position
- Over 10 years infrastructure experience
- Must understand FIDIC contracts
