Senior Contracts Manager

An award-winning Saudi company that has become a recognized leader in reliability and innovation for mega projects across the Kingdom in the fields of oil & gas, petrochemicals, power and water is searching for a Contracts Manager to join their Contracts department in Saudi Arabia. The role will require the selected applicant to be Accountable for the timely and thorough review of commercial agreements with 3rd parties (bid documents, contract documents, MOUs, subcontract pre-qualifications and agreements, etc.) have the ability to prepare contract draft, contract letters and documents independently. Ensures that companys interests are safeguarded, provides recommendations to the concerned Division (Operations or Corporate Development) as needed, and drafts such contracts based on the company's requirements. Provides support for the administration of change orders and claims (contract interpretation, advice on how to best approach issues with the client, substantiation of the change order or claim, participation in negotiations with the client or 3rd party, participation in dispute resolution forums, etc.)

Monitors Companies contracts, its obligations to 3rd parties, and advises the Chief Contracts & Legal Officer as needed. Provides contract interpretation advice to all organizational units. Follows-up on regulatory developments of concern to Company and their impact on the Company's commercial and contractual commitments, in the KSA and abroad. To develop and institutionalizes the companies contractual legal know-how and capabilities and advise on pursuing legal action against 3rd parties.

Requirements

- BS Engineering (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical) / BS in Law, preferably with a Business or Management degree
- Excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills
- Good working knowledge of the Construction industry, trends, and other market developments in the Gulf
- In-depth knowledge of contracts law
- 15 20 years experience in the contracts legal field, in a reputable law office or in a contracting company of Nesmas size or larger; construction experience is a plus
- Minimum 5 years experience in the GCC (preferably in Saudi Arabia)
- Fluent in English and Arabic
