Job description / Role

The client has a very strong customer base with some of their existing relationships lasting over twenty years. The client services a very impressive list of household names in terms of their client base and can offer considerable variety in terms of the projects you’d be involved in. Client sectors include (but not limited to) FMCG, Food & Beverage, Materials Manufacturing, Automotive, Defence & Pharmaceutical.
Applicants should be qualified to HNC level or above, or have completed an electrical apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or similar. The client is also looking for someone who is enthusiastic, has attention to detail and can work alone and/or as part of a team. Good communication skills are essential. You will need to be customer facing as you will be expected to work on client site and deal with customers.
Requirements
This role will could accommodate someone who has 3-4 years experience and is looking for their second engineering role who someone who is more senior and has extensive electrical engineering experience (hence the salary range).
My client requires an experienced PLC Controls Engineer with experience of Electrical Design engineering capable of designing control panels, including safety circuits, PLC drives and industrial networks. You will produce CAD drawings on AutoCAD and functional design documents as well as fault find and fully test electrical control panels and write, test and commission PLC logic, preferably your experience will have come from Rockwell and Siemens systems (Siemens S7, Allen Bradley ControlLogix 500/5000) Any Modicon or Mitsubishi experience would also be helpful.
