Job description / Role
The main purpose of this position is to provide the required senior Cost Engineering support associated with an Oil & Gas fast track project.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the development of project work breakdown structures and their population from the project cost estimate.
Responsible for ensuring complete knowledge of estimate/cost/budget/work breakdowns and allocations/expenditures/forecasts reported against the project.
Support delivery of cost management solutions for project as appropriate under guidance of the Project Controls Manager.
Support preparation/review of documented Cost Time and Resource (CTR) sheets for phased cost estimates
Generate accurate monthly cost reports, highlighting variances from the plan on commitment, value of work done, changes and currency fluctuations against approved authorities for expenditure
Support change and trend management process for projects.
Analyse trends and the highlight potential impacts of changes on cost.
Maintain consistency in cost bases
Work closely with all stakeholders to finalize project cost report and analysis.
Requirements
Degree Qualified in an Engineering subject or Quantity Surveying
A minimum of 10 years experience
Significant Oil & Gas industry experience
Experience of a "Fast Track" project environment
Outstanding communication skills in written and spoken English
