Senior Cost Manager (Contracts)

Our client is a leading cost management consultant in the Middle East. They have always viewed property and construction assets as having complex, integrated lifecycles. This consultant delivers a portfolio of services along this lifecycle, from concept through design and construction to the management and maintenance of a project or asset. They are one of the leading asset management and construction consultants, established for more than 100 years.

Duties & Responsibilities
We are urgently looking for Senior Cost Manager (Contracts) to lead a team and work on a project in Qatar.
• Procurement process management, prequalification and provision of procurement advice
• Assist in preparation of tender documentation and tender analysis for consultants or contractors
• Assist in selecting, negotiating and forming contracts
• Good knowledge of FIDIC and other forms of contract
• Change management, provision of estimates and overall budget control
• Post contract administration services of consultants and contractors
• Review of variations, claims, quantum and provision of contractual advice
• Management of consultants and contractor agreements
• Management of disputes and notices procedures
• Provision of reports as required by the client and other stakeholders
• Quality control; compliance with policies and procedures
• Risk management

Requirements

Qualification & Experience

You will have:
• a degree in Quantity Surveying;
• MRICS qualification (preferred);
• strong experience in delivery of cost consultancy services;
• Middle East or international experience preferred;
• experience of working on behalf of Clients, project management and engineering consultancy experience also beneficial to the role;
• minimum 10 years’ experience;
• Broad experience in building sectors ie education, healthcare, hospitality, sports facilities, stadiums, commercial, government and associated infrastructure works.
