Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The individual assigned to this position will serve as the MEA Cyber security Specialist reporting to the MEA Technology Director (TD), and matrix reporting back to the Parsons IS Security Team.

Provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems cyber security policies, standards, and methodologies. Provide configuration management (CM) for IS(s) security software, hardware, and firmware. Manage changes to system and assess the cyber security impact of those changes.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to monitor, review and resolve all cyber security alerts in coordination with the Parsons IS Security Team.
- Manage all cyber security incidents from initiation to closure in coordination with the Parsons IS Security Team and MEA IS Operations:
- Initiate and chair the incident management process,
- Assess impact, Develop remediation plans,
- Coordinate the implementation of all remediation plans activities,
- Monitor, measure and report on progress of the remediation plans, and
- Conduct after action reviews of the remediation plans, and develop lessons-learns and long-term action plans
- Responsible to setup, maintain and manage troubleshoot and resolve all cyber security infrastructure (Hardware & Software) at Parsons Facilities, Project offices and the MEA Data Center in coordination with the Parsons IS Security Team.
- Work with MEA IS Operations team to conduct audits and maintain the violations database and submit the violation report findings.
- Attend bi-weekly coordination meetings between MEA IS Operations and Parsons IS Security team to discuss and address cyber security issues.
- Develop and submit to the MEA TD a monthly progress report on all cyber security issues, initiatives, and special projects.
- Liaise and coordinate with external vendors & service providers as appropriate and when required.
- Liaison between the MEA IS Operations Team and Parsons IS Security Team
- Develop & Architect cyber security designs/ requirements for new business/projects.
- Develop and coordinate with the Parsons IS Security team the development of new cyber security initiatives
- Monitor and manage/address all the operational/technical Cyber Security issues.
- Participate in business development support activities as they relate to cyber security scope when so required.
- May need to travel from time to time in the region.

Requirements

- Minimum education: 4 year Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Security or equivalent working experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in cyber security with at least 5 years of progressive experience in information technology fields.
- CISSP, certification or at least 5 years equivalent working experience required.
- Hands-on information security tool experience with industry standard Anti Virus and Malware tools/ programs.
- Hands-on network administration experience required.
- Cloud Software-as-a-service security experience required.
- Server administration experience - a plus.
- Database administration experience - a plus.
- Any level of experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) and engineering systems applications - a plus.

Technical Knowledge
- Strong, hands-on working experience with security systems such as vulnerability assessment, intrusion protection, intrusion detection, endpoint security, anti-virus, and event aggregating tools - a requirement.
- Strong, hands-on working experience with networks and firewalls.
- Solid understanding of security architecture and design, enterprise networking.
- Ability to understand and learn technical specifications, system requirements and other application design information as needed.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Scripting experience - a plus

Analytical/Problem Solving Skills
- Proactive self-starter.
- Ability to work on complex technological problems

Written & Verbal Communication Skills
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to write technical instructions and develop analytical reports for senior management.
- Arabic language proficiency - a plus
