Job description / Role
The database environment is varied and includes Oracle (primary) as well as SQL Server and Sybase technologies. Candidates will need experience of working with Oracle and SQL technologies, and any knowledge of Sybase would be preferred. The environment is cross-platform so ideally candidates will have knowledge of working on both unix and windows platforms.
The successful Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for enterprise-wide Database support for complex system and interconnected technologies that require day-today support and administration in order to maintain optimum performance and utilization.
This will include Database availability, performance, capacity management as well as change, incident and problem management duties.
Due to the complexity and critical element of the systems, candidates will need prior experience of working within mission-critical environments, and any financial services experience is preferred.

An experienced and highly capable Senior Database Administrator is required to join a talented team here in the UAE, working for a major banking organization. This role will be responsible for the planning, implementation, configuration, and administration of all database management systems in the organization.
