The RoleThe Role•Coordinating with construction to ensure design and development objectives are met as per plan. •Facilitate meetings with design consultants to ensure specifications and design objectives are met. •Reviewing and approving of all project designs to ensure that they are in line with concepts. •Managing and coordinating the activities of staff members in the design department to be in line with the required design tasks. •Implement quality management systems related to the design and look for opportunities for continuous improvement. •Ensure standardization of risk assessment practices and adoption of value engineering initiatives to obtain best value. •Ensure appropriate mechanism to monitor performance of external consultants in various design phases. •Review project budgets on a periodical basis to ensure that they are design within the assigned budget. •Ensure administration of departmental paperwork to optimize efficiency. •Concept development for various OMRAN projects as mandated by business plans •Planning and programming of projects to ensure availability of adequate resources and delivery of projects as per requirements agreed. |
RequirementsRequirements•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture (preferably a masters) with a minimum of 15 years experience, most of which is in the field of design and development within the hotel industry. •Experience working on the development of a sizeable number of 4 or 5 star hotels. |
