Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Member of multi-disciplinary asset evaluation team with focus on time lines. The candidate will use his/her through understanding of different development stages, from near field exploration thought appraisal and development, in preparing and assisting his superiors in implementing field development plans. He/she will analyze, interpret and integrate petrophysical, geophysical, reservoir and production data with geology to establish hand update geology frameworks and models.
- Moderate level understating of the data limitations, subsurface uncertainties and risks and documentation of the same.
- Build geological models using regional geology, structural, sequence stratigraphic and well information etc.
- Integrate geology, geophysics, reservoir and production information to build a realistic static model.
- Estimation of in place hydrocarbon volumes either deterministically using low, mid and high case scenarios, or probabilistically using Montecarlo Simulation. All estimates to comply with SPE reserves guidelines, with appropriate documentation and audit trail.
- Prepare comprehensive predrill and post drill documentation, monitor drilling activities and suggest timely course correction to senior colleagues.
- Help senior colleagues in preparation of proposals, and follow up of technical studies undertaken by external contractors.
- Assist senior colleagues in evaluating the new venture opportunities as required, attend data reviews; provide reports, analyses and advice.
- Propose and apply latest value adding technologies in the Development blocks.

Requirements

- BSc in Geology is required, Master preferred
- Hands on experience in geological interpretation and integration using modern workstation software applications, preferably on Petrel and Kingdom software.
- Knowledge of structural geology, sequence stratigraphy and relate them to the seismic features and attributes.
- Knowledge on grey and brown fields development preferably on clastic and carbonate reservoirs under basement and sedimentary tectonics.
- Knowledge on structural and stratigraphic depositional concepts. Awareness of applying geological concepts to geophysical interpretations.
- Basic 2D/3D Seismic Interpretation and mapping skills is preferred on kingdom software
- 10 years of industry experience with at least 5 years development geologist. Must have independently undertaken field evaluation by integrating G&G reservoir and production data. Experience of FDPs using modern workstation software and data interrogation tools.
- Knowledge of appropriate geology technology involving data acquisition, and interpretation.
- Participate in company subsurface committees and workgroups. Presenting technical interpretations and recommendations.
- Participate in field development opportunity by suggesting innovative approaches and technology deliver value improving field development efficiency
