The RoleThe RoleAED 40 – 50k + schooling + 1st class tickets + family benefits Our Client is an internationally recognized Dubai based group of companies, whose vision and pioneering concepts has changed the face of shopping, entertainment and leisure in the Middle East. Reporting to the VP of Property Development, you will take full responsibility for the complete development process of an approx. 55,000sqm Greenfield site in Beirut, Lebanon and provide management assistance to, initially, one Development Manager responsible for an approx. 72,000sqm GLA retail mall development, also located in Beirut. Specific asset classes to be developed on the 55,000sqm site remain subject to zoning and associated negotiation with the relevant Authorities, however the development will be anchored by a ‘Regional’ Shopping Mall and could include Hotels and/or Residential Apartments. Responsibilities will include identification and assessment of various development opportunities and conducting necessary Authority negotiations to secure planning and zoning approvals as required, preparation of project feasibilities to ensure commercial viability of the proposed project, appointment and management of a full consultant team, including International, Local and Landscape Architects, Quantity Surveyors, all Engineering disciplines, Lighting Consultants and other specialist consultants as required, obtain necessary approvals both internally and externally to the Group and manage the design process for a Greenfield site. Work closely with other internal departments including Leasing, Legal, Asset Management (Operations) and Delivery to ensure that the project is delivered to meet pre-approved financial and time conditions. |
RequirementsRequirementsTo qualify, you will be from a design, planning or project management background and have rich experience of having managed the complete development of at least one large retail/mix use property project (the projects must have had a retail element) You will have the ability to lead multi-skilled teams which include internationally rated consultants, be a sound negotiator and be commercially astute. You will possess a recognised degree preferably with an MBA and have a minimum of 10 years experience of which a considerable amount of time should have been spent in shopping centre/retail development (2 – 3 years) Ideally you be an Arabic speaker and be agreeable to being based in the Levant region (Jordan, Syria, Lebanon) |
