Senior Electric Substation Engineer – Supervision (Railways)

Job description / Role

Tasks and Responsibilities:
•Supervising substation construction works with emphasis on electrical substations
•Reporting all supervision activities performed on site to the Taskleader OCS and Power Supply
•Ensuring all actions are performed according to the guidelines and regulations of the project (drawings, method statements etc.)
•Providing technical guidance with emphasis on railway power substations and switching stations and training staff
•Establishing benchmarks and adopting best practices from other disciplines (operations, costs, construction, maintenance)
•Preparing reports, financial forecasts and resource planning
•Reviewing method statements and pre-qualification documents of supplier, material and sub-contractor
•Participate in site meetings and interface meetings with other disciplines and SEC
•Evaluating feasibility and smooth functioning of proposed schedules, engineering tests and equipments
Preparing NCR, field instructions against non-conformity, reviewing proposed mitigation measures
•Implementing FAT/SAT (Review FAT/SAT proposals, prepare and carry out FAT/SAT, IF and SIT, prepare necessary documentation)
•Reviewing and approving of field change requests, as built drawings in conjunction with task leader/design team
•Controlling the punch-list process

Requirements

Your Profile:
•University degree (M.Sc.) in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Power Supply
•At least 12 to 15 years’ experience as railway engineer, minimum 10 years’ experience in Railway Power Supply System Engineering, working experience in high speed projects beneficial
•Working knowledge of electrical substation facilities
•International work experience
•Excellent English skills
•Relevant IT-skills
•Willingness to re-locate to Saudi Arabia for at least two years
•Holding an International driving license
