The RoleThe RoleParsons International is looking for a qualified Senior Electrical Design Engineer with significant experience in a broad range of HV power projects including design and contract supervision of distribution, protection and preferably generation projects; design of power transmission and distribution systems as well as substations (11kV); and design of electrical systems for industrial and municipal infrastructure projects such as pumping station, water treatment plants, SCADA. Responsibilities: • Preparation of various stages of design from concept through to detailed submissions for HV, MV & LV networks. • Preparation of design reports, technical notes and calculations for HV, MV & LV networks. • Support in the preparation of Contract Documents including Specifications and Bills of Quantities for Tender purposes. • Support in the preparation of drawings of high quality in Microstation for the infrastructure disciplines. • Coordinate with the design team to ensure timely delivery of design tasks. • Lead in the implementation of innovative design solutions using the latest industry standards considering quality, safety and sustainability as a minimum. • Supervise subordinates, providing guidance and mentorship, as necessary. • Liaise with the Commercial teams on commercial issues as necessary. • Report on progress to the Project Manager and Design Manager as necessary. |
RequirementsRequirementsExperience and Qualification: • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and any appropriate Institutional affiliations; relevant Master's Degree preferred. • Minimum 10 years experience in the detailed design of infrastructure projects, specifically LV, MV, & HV networks. Regional experience is preferred. • Experience in CYME / ETAP software preferred. • Good knowledge of the requirements of the local adopting authorities, e.g. TRANSCO, ADDC, ADM, etc. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Possess a thorough knowledge of current electrical installation practices, electrical and building codes, testing methods for electrical installations, and electrical safety practices. |
