Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job description / Role

Our client is a world leader in designing specialized lightweight structures with projects gaining worldwide recognition. They require a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team in their Stuttgart office and are offering an excellent package for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical analysis/feasibility for new projects specifications

- Responsible for small to large electrical motors

- Design of electrical circuits, components and system solutions

- Develop electrical and power system equipment and installation specifications

- Contribution to peer reviews, design reviews, testing process

- Monitoring the NEC and other applicable codes as well as standards (e.g., IEEE, NFPA)

- Making sure projects meet electrical and construction safety regulations

Requirements

Essential Skills:

- Completed Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

- Strong working experience in designing electrical circuits

- Deep understanding of electrical components

- Experience in designing to NFPA 70 guidelines

- Excellent communication skills

- Understanding of power electronics and controls is a plus as well as a good background in lighting technology (DMX, KNX) is a plus

- At least 10 years experience
