Senior Electrical Design (Healthcare) - Qatar

My client who is a leading international Architecture and Engineering group has an immediate need for a Graduate Senior Healthcare Electrical Engineer with proven design skills, an understanding of International Engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 to 15 years post qualification experience and extensive knowledge of US and UK Healthcare Standards. You must have worked on the design and construction of healthcare facilities in the past

The Qatar office has an immediate need for a Senior Electrical Engineer with proven design skills and practical experience applying British Standards; mature understanding of Engineering principals, strong interest the Engineering side of medical Masterplanning, client care, and a desire to be involved in a multidisciplinary team environment. As the successful candidate your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Provide expertise in Healthcare Electrical Engineering Masterplanning.
- Expected to have a full knowledge and expertise in electrical systems design, calculations, life cycle cost analysis, BIM production and report writing.
- Detailed oriented and well organized with effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Expected to regularly attend Client meetings, and give presentations on their area of expertise.
- Must have experience with the latest versions of Revit. Must understand the role of BIM in Electrical Design.
- Must be able to work well independently and manage successfully to deliver projects.

Requirements

- 10 to 15 years of experience working within a Building Services Design Group, with an emphasis in Power distribution and Lighting Design.
- Electrical Engineering Degree from a nationally accredited engineering program.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (International equivalent) is required.
- LEED or similar certification is desired.
- Working knowledge of Revit, InDesign and MS Office is required.
- Demonstrated Proficiency with British Standards Codes and guidelines is very desirable.
- Knowledge of other International healthcare guidelines would be beneficial.
- Experience in lighting, power distribution, lightning protection, telecommunications, fire alarm and other typical building electrical systems design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a high proficiency in English is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in specification writing
- Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination through design and the construction process.
