The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) aims to achieve both as it seeks to build a clean, environmentally friendly, civil nuclear power program for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).As Managing Agent, CH2M HILL will assist ENEC in assuring the successful implementation of any Civil Nuclear Power Program introduced in the UAE through all phases, including program development beyond the conceptual phase. These responsibilities include implementation of owner's responsibilities to comply with International Atomic Energy Agency recommendations, master program planning, and licensing and permitting associated with nuclear and support facilities.

Help provide long-term, safe energy solution for a fast-growing population by collaborating with the international community to build a clean, environmentally friendly, civil nuclear power program for the United Arab Emirates. Our Senior Electrical Engineer provides you with an opportunity to oversee the engineering activities related to the Prime Contractor's and his Sub-Contractors/Suppliers' deliverables in the design, construction, installation and commissioning of Braka Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) with the focus on electrical Design and equipment. You should be a self-motivated professional with experience in Nuclear Power plant design, construction or industry operations in an electrical engineering supervisory role, at least 10 years of Nuclear Power Plant experience, a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Senior Electrical Engineering job.

Our Senior Electrical Engineers are responsible for:

1) Electrical Design Deliverables Review·

Conduct primary technical reviews, as appropriate, on assigned PC's design deliverables related to electrical power equipment and associated protection, control and monitoring systems including, but not limited to, general arrangement drawings, single line diagrams, schematic drawings, cable management specifications, procurement and tendering packages to ensure compliance with PC requirements, project schedule, and UAE laws and regulations.

Monitor the PC in all aspects of Electrical systems and equipment, to ensure the fulfillment of requirements and maintenance of standards in relations to the design, construction, installations, and commissioning of BNPP, such as power transformers, generator, motors, load centers, motor control centers, switchgears and cables.

Review vendor documentations to ensure compliance with the PC requirements with respect to electrical equipment and materials.

Coordinate and approve primary technical reviews of PC's and /or ENEC's processes and procedures as well as prepare technical reports on finding to fulfill all relevant electrical design requirements.

Accept electrical equipment design change and non-conformance reviews and evaluations to ensure all recommendations and corrective action plans for the PC as appropriate.

2) Technical Support

Provide technical input and expertise to the PC's and Sub-Contractors/Suppliers' electrical related deliverables as a functional team member in order to ensure required standards are maintained.

Support the engineering, safety, planning, and quality surveillance discipline members in the tasks resolutions process in order to expedite solutions of any arising issues.

Coordinate and oversee installation and commissioning activities within area of responsibility to ensure compliance to project specifications and governing codes.

3) Reporting

Advise management on issues affecting the project in order to take necessary actions as required.

4) Stakeholder Engagement

Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships.

5) HSE

Follow all relevant departmental HSE policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure HSE compliance in all aspects of work in accordance with sound management practices by applying these HSE policies and procedures to self and others to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people , or the environment, who are at the employee's place of work who may be affected by the employee's acts or omissions at work.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
BS Electrical Engineering
5 - 7 years of experience in Electrical equipment installations.
Experience in major projects development.
Experience in Power plant design, construction or industry operations, in an engineering role.
Knowledge of design techniques and tools.
Ability to read technical drawings.
English fluency.
MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:
MS degree in Electrical Engineering or business/management.
Broad experience in providing technical support to the electrical installations during the design, construction, installation and commissioning of power plants. Nuclear Safety Awareness
Arabic Fluency
