We are nowrecruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy forSenior Electrical Engineerto work on our projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Objectives:
* Fulfilling an Electrical role within the MEICA and Treatment Function of Utility Sector
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
* Design of power system for power transmission and distribution to infrastructure
* Design of power system for water and waste water facility
* Production of single line diagram, load flow calculation, short circuit calculation, earthing and lightning system design.
* Electrical material selection and sizing (eg. motors, switch gears, etc.)
* Design of lighting , earthing and lighting protection system
* Carryout technical review /evaluation of Tender and Contract documents
* Preparation and production of design reports for Electrical work
* Provide technical advice to the client on all Electrical matters
* Provide technical support for site staff during construction activities
* Liaison with authorities to obtain design approval
* Ensure design and documents are prepared as per the brief from the client
* Liaison with the other design disciplines on all technical aspects related to Electrical design requirement
* Apply quality management system
* Train new and junior staff and act as a mentor and monitor development.
Requirements
* Minimum 10 years dealing with Electrical aspects of water and waste water and power distribution Engineering works including pumping stations and sewage treatment works and power distribution in developments.
* Experience of specification writing, design, supervision and inspection of site installation and commissioning.
* Experience in projects involving government departments; public and private organizations.
* Experience with local authorities and other GCC authorities requirement
* Familiar with water industry mechanical and control system requirement
* Experience with power system design software (ETAP, AMTECH).
* A good knowledge of Electrical specification and tender documents preparation
* Sound written and verbal communication skills together with interpersonal skills.
* B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or higher
* Member of recognised Institution
* Competent at Microsoft Word and Excel and other design software
