We are urgently recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for a Senior Electrical Engineerto work on our projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the design team from the Abu Dhabi Office
- Reporting to the Associate Technical Director (ATD)
- Supporting the ATD in the production of fee proposals and other commercial matters
- Production of engineering specifications for tender purpose
- Production of engineering design reports
- Responsible for electrical design of the following systems:
- Power systems
- Lighting & Emergency Lighting systems
- Fire Detection and Alarm systems
- Earthing & Lightning Protection systems
- Providing leadership and technical advice to engineers
- Coordinating with other design disciplines for design integrity
- Reviewing projects to the requirements of Hyder QA procedures
- Acting as a Project Manager on selected projects
- Acting as discipline lead on selected projects
- Supporting with authority liaison & project approvals (DEWA/ADDC/Civil Defense)

Requirements

* Degree in Electrical Engineering
* At least 10 years experience with Residential/High Rise projects
* Ability to undertake all aspects of HV electrical engineering design from Concept through to Tender documentation.
* Strong electrical and power system engineering design skills. Knowledge of power system planning, T&D networks and protection design at 220kV 132KV, 66kV 33KV, 11KV, and intermediate voltages.
* Proved experience in power system modelling, analysis and calculations, experienced ETAP software user high preferable.
* Competence in HV Substations and HV cable systems design, T&D system planning criteria and design and criteria with high level knowledge of network architecture design, power system studies, reliability criteria, power demand assessments, utility plant requirements, city-wide cabling systems layout.
* Experience in cabling system design from 11kV up to 220kV preferable.
* Experience in managing commercial aspects of a project.
* Good motivation, influencing and people management skills.
* Ability to think in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner.
* Competence in resolving a significant range of technical power engineering issues and in providing technical advice; a sound understanding of company standards and policies and their application to this role. Awareness of current and technological developments in distribution plant and equipment.
