The RoleThe RoleKEY RESULTS AREAS: Analysis of client system load profiles and electrical plant characteristics to determine sizing of power generation packages. Analysis and interpretation of electrical drawings to determine parameters for safe and efficient connection of power packages to customers electrical distribution systems. Perform electrical fault level calculations and protection studies for high voltage systems up to 132 kV. Compilation of engineering design reports for submission to clients and management. Preparation of Project Design Pack documentation for inclusion in sales proposals. Compilation of schematic and layout drawings using CAD. Liaise with clients technical staff and visit potential job sites, as required, to verify project needs. Close liaison with Central Operations team to provide project design approval prior to equipment mobilisation. Advise Central Operations team on the project design details during project mobilisation process. Liaise with the specific areas on design standards and specifications to ensure Area business compliance. Advise Area Operations team on engineering issues during project installation and commissioning phases. Advise Sales team on project specific design issues and propose engineering solutions. Gives engineering assistance as required to Area Operational Projects and Aggreko Depots. Responsible for distribution, control and authorisation of commissioning documentation from all project sites, including depots (specific projects). Responsible for, in conjunction with the area specific management for identifying and specifying the correct requirement and build requirement of all LV/MV/HV electrical plant and equipment for NM&P and AME depot business. Liaise with Technical Services Department and Manufacturing on new Engineering Technologies Develop and maintain engineering standards and Best Operating Practices for the areas of operation. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Carry out on-site engineering reviews. Specification and procurement of engineering equipment. Any other duties considered essential for effective Area operations and service. Give technical updates to all relevant areas from AIP Power Engineering Department/QHSE as well as EME Technical department Expected to travel through the entire NM&P and AME depot geographic area. |
RequirementsRequirements Graduate Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 3 years design experience in an electrical power systems business. Age 25+ A good communicator, both written and oral. Fluent in English, a second language would be an advantage. Available to travel on a global basis. |
