Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Participation in identifying & arranging maintenance works beyond in-house resources and need to be contracted out.
- Co-ordination with concerned discipline engineers to prepare detailed specifications, scope of work, pricing templates, ensure optimum use of resources etc. for developing contracts.
- Coordination/ Participation in conducting site visits of contractors for mobilization & demobilization of outsourced resources.
- Assistance in overall administration and control of all maintenance contractors at site, which includes work follow up, maintaining records of performance, back-up documents for invoicing & claims, personnel attendance and equipment availability etc.
- Provides input on contractor performance, to help in pre-qualification exercises and contract close-out reports. Maintains records of retention monies, warranties and ensures timely preparation of completion certificates for issuance.
- Identification of spares parts to be stoked on the basis equipment Spare parts list.
- Review of Inventory Levels in coordination with Warehouse and create of New stock requests to ensure the specifications and correct and adequate.
- Development of Alternate sources for spares parts, OEM items etc.
- Preparation of Rate Contracts for Maintenance Consumables, Spares, Bulk Materials etc.
- Assistance in standardizing Inventory Materials and Provides technical clarification on contract scopes and participates in technical bid evaluation.
- Assistance in controlling and monitoring contract expenditures and provides information on actual costs versus budgets for management review. Suggesting cost control measures.
- Participation in preparation of annual budgetary estimates for maint contracts

Requirements

- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent with Good academic record
- 12 years of quality experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Similar process Industry with at least 8 years in the core plant maintenance activities as engineer or above.
- Hands on maintenance experience in Process equipments & machineries like Compressors, Pumps, Turbines, exchangers, Columns, Pressure Vessels, and Heat Exchangers etc.
- Should have solid experience in Contract Management, Procurement, Spare parts Management, Preparation of Technical specifications, Material Specifications etc.
- Sound knowledge of Material Science, Selection of Materials etc.
- Well versed in International Codes & Standards
- Around 4 years of Experience in Maintenance Planning is highly desirable.
- Exposure to engineering & design or reliability engineering functions will be desirable.
- Exposure to Electrical & Instrument Spares will be desirable.
- High level of understanding and Hands on experience in budgeting and cost control
- Excellent knowledge & skills in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), MS Packages. Knowledge of SAP will be advantageous.
- Should possess good analytical thinking and data handling capability
- Ability to draft contract work scopes independently.
