Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Technical Group (TG) unit has been established as the Engineering and Technical organisation for Borouge, which is mainly based in Ruwais. TG as the Engineering and Technical Services organisation and has business process ownership of Asset Integrity; Process Safety Management; Inspection; Project Engineering, Delivery (value up to $50 million) and Execution; Technical Authority Governance and Support; and Asset Development. Additionally, TG is the custodian of the Company Technical Standards and Procedures.

To summarize the general task of the role, you will act as a Technical Authority & deliver the highest level of expertise in any of the fields in Piping, Rotating or Static Equipment towards Borouge, owners & other ADNOC Group of Companies

Your specific responsibilities shall include:
- Developing & maintaining Borouge's, owners' & other ADNOC Group of Companies' quality management plan as part of the Technical Authority framework
- Delivering technical discipline expertise across the whole company, with high focus on design & technical integrity "must haves"
- Providing expert advice & guidance during asset improvement & expansion projects, turnarounds, incident investigations, technical & process reviews, internal & external audits, etc., in order to solve & prevent problems, by identifying gaps & timely mitigating identified hazards and risks
- Managing the technical approval & deviation control process & support other Borouge functions in the management of technical change as per the ADNOC's "best in class" practice
- Participating in the setup of design, procurement, operating, inspection & maintenance strategies, philosophies & management systems, in line with the pillars of asset integrity & total cost of ownership
- Owning, safeguarding & translating design specifications & performance standards into acceptance criteria for critical safety equipments
- Monitoring, evaluating & recommending trends, developments & best practices within the surrounding industry, in order to add value to Borouge's business by disseminating the latest technical knowledge

Requirements

- Possesses Mechanical Engineering bachelor's degree (12+4 years)
- 15 years of relevant & practical experience
- Recognised Technical Authority & coach within the own area of expertise
- Good knowledge of relevant international standards & project management tools
- Well developed interpersonal, organisational, analytical, team- & networking skills
- Fluent in English, both written & oral
- Thorough experience with MS Office, SAP & project related software
- International & multicultural oriented
